Template:Actor infobox Steve Chikerotis is a Chicago firefighter who portrays District Chief Steve Walker in Chicago Fire.
In 2012, Chikerotis joined Chicago Fire as technical advisor. In 2017, he also became associate producer and he has written the story for a few epidodes.
Biography and career
Steve Chikerotis was a 35-year member of the Chicago Fire Department, where he served as a deputy district chief. He had been a chief officer for the past 17 years. A fire service instructor for more than 25 years, he has taught classes at the Chicago Fire Academy, the Illinois Fire Service Institute, RICO Fire Training, and Harold Washington College. He is the author of Firefighters from the Heart.
After 9/11, Steve went to ground zero with a group of about 100 Chicago firefighters to help with emergency response.
