Miranda Rae Mayo (born August 14, 1990) is an American actress who portrays Stella Kidd in Chicago Fire.

Biography and career[]

Originally from Fresno, Calif., Mayo is an American artist, Nike influencer, mindfulness advocate and a novice cellist.

Her most recent television credits include ABC's "Blood and Oil," alongside Don Johnson and Delroy Lindo, and the second season of HBO's critically acclaimed series "True Detective," opposite Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell.  

Mayo's film work includes Wes Craven's final film, "The Girl in the Photographs," written and directed by Nick Simon.

For the majority of her life, Mayo has been particularly passionate about mindfulness programs and practices, especially for children. She is an active member of Bodhi Chicago, a spiritual community devoted to accessible mindfulness education and community service to the Chicagoland area and beyond. Her big idea for life is "to be a beneficial presence on the planet and encourage others to do the same." She highly values her daily spiritual practice (meditation and yoga), integrity and relationships.

Mayo is also a gifted singer and enjoys performing live. This year she is thrilled to be running the Chicago marathon for the first time.

She currently donates and supports the 100 Club of Chicago, Holistic Life Foundation, Bodhi Spiritual Center, the Junior Company Foundation of Fresno and Peace Action West.
